ATSE 2017 New Fellow: Professor Ewa Goldys FTSE

December 5, 2017
Professor Goldys has pioneered a unique, non-invasive label-free fluorescence characterisation for use as a tool for biology and health diagnostics. Her innovative research, recognised in 2016 with a Eureka Prize, uses colour to provide a collective metabolic diagnostic ‘fingerprint’ for a variety of diseases, including cancer. She has established and led research networks to foster interdisciplinary research and to develop linkages between industry and academia and has shown outstanding research leadership in optical characterisation and its applications to materials, devices and biochemical and medical sensing.
